We know that many people have insurance but often don’t know much about insurance. Heck – ask most mental health professionals and they barely know about insurance policies, procedures, limitations, etc. Honestly, we are learning something new about insurances daily here at VCS.
While we try to give out as much useable information to clients about insurance ins-and-outs, we realize that there isn’t enough information out there that is:
- Easy to understand!
- Doesn’t require 50 hours of reading or a crash course to learn
- Tells you what to do to get what you need to
This is why we submit on behalf of our clients to insurance companies for their reimbursements. If we barely know how to deal with insurance companies, why would we expect to hand someone a superbill and tell them to file it themselves? For those who know how to, you are to be praised and admired! For every one else, we are going to (attempt) to give you as much practical information to hopefully make insurance one less challenge standing in the way of getting therapy.
Be on the lookout soon for a special section that is easy to understand, straight to the point, and gives you all the current information we have that may be helpful in your dealings with your insurance companies. I will be revamping our Frequently Asked Questions to make it less crazy looking and overwhelming. You want answers to questions, not more stress and confusion.
Feel free to reach out and give us any questions you want answered, topics you may think are important, or details you want to share!
