I’m always on the lookout for tools that make it easy and efficient for clients to track moods, situations, thoughts, etc. This app is one such tool!
When working with clients on making changes, one of the challenges is pinpointing what’s working and what isn’t. Tracking moods, events, triggers, times, and more provides valuable data for analysis. Even minimal journaling can yield significant insights.
One common frustration is the time it takes to jot notes down. I completely understand — first, you have to remember to write things down, then you need to figure out what to write, and find the time to do it. Maybe it’s not a convenient time. Perhaps you left your journal somewhere else, so it’s not accessible. These are all real challenges of the process.
That’s why one easy solution is to use your phone for note-taking. It has become such an essential daily tool that 99% of us have it on hand constantly. In this regard, we can turn our phone usage into something positive: journaling.
Why do I like this app and recommend it?
- It’s easy to use. It offers a wide range of emotions to help you identify what you’re feeling with just a point and click.
- You can write as much, as little, or nothing at all. It’s up to you.
- You can set reminders to make an entry as many times throughout the day as you want.
- It’s free.
As a bonus, this app was designed by a team of therapists, scientists, designers, and engineers. It’s also contributing to mental health research if you opt to send your data to the researchers. If not, your data stays on your phone.
